.***************************** Welcome! This is Heroes of Might and Magic I full walkthrough. The movie comes without music and sound, because its recorded as time lapse - its 190% of regular Heroes 1 speed. I have choosen Lord Alamar army because this is the most versalite army in entire game. Please post some comments about mine run, I very appreciate it. :)) ***************************** General tips on Heroes 1 strategy: 1. Remember that there are no marketplaces at all. Don't waste your time getting unuseful resources, because you won't trade them anyway. 2. Use AI dumbness everytime. They are moving in some patterns, its quite easy to find out those patterns. 3. Don't try to build superior army in this game. AI Heroes LOVE to split armies, so you won't need superior hero with for example 10 dragons, 40 hydras, 90 griffons, 100+ gargoyles when you have to deal with 20 AI heroes with starting armies. 4. Remember that dragons are immune to all spells and phoenixes are immune to elemental rain. Try to combine those facts and use it as advantange. 5. Try to not cast spell before enemy hero does, because you may end with 40 berserked hydras that wipe out your army. 6. Try to find out combat pattern, its quite easy. Initiative depends on speed, and games flips sides each battle round. 7. Never take experience from chests. In Heroes 1 levels don't yield much bonus, its better to have that 1,500 or 2,000 gold coins instead of level up. ***************************** Scenario 3: "Wounded Land" This scenario may appear annoying but its very easy once you know how to play it. The objective here is to dig up grail, you don't have to fight your enemies. You don't have much time, because your enemies will try to find it too, and if you will struggle too long, enemy will find grail and mission is over. Again we are taking agressive strategy. There are a LOT of lying loose resources so you won't have problem building last level dwellings and magic guild level 4. You will need good spells so go for spells as soon as you can. Concentrate on spells till you get Dimension Door spell, it is very useful on this map. Build your army during few weeks, its good to build two heroes because one cannot use advantange of many resources. Remember to visit every obelisk and try to remember which ones you have visited, because user interface won't help you here. Conquer towns but won't build them up, like in previous map, you wont need much money. Only build up towns that will defend themeselves and are good placed. Its good idea to build up another towns if you don't have Dimension Door in your main town. After you gather some good army and control about 25% map, don't give shit about your towns anymore and start sprinting to obelisks. When you will be able to recognize where the grail, just buy some heroes and start digging till you get it. Map is not always 100% accurate, the cross is NOT always in center of puzzle map but its randomly around center. You don't need to reveal every obelisk on map (and your enemy won't need that too), just reveal obelisks till you will be able to find out where the artifact is. Remember about agressive playing in this map - you will see me attacking shooters with only bare hydras (which may look like waste, but loosing some hydras is better than losing TIME here). Gather resources till you build up a guild with Dimension Door (sometimes you will have to build 2-3 cities till you get it) and build last dwelling in your main city - then only run for obelisks.
